Steven Allen joined Wales-based Agricultural Consultants Pentagon Associates in 1993 and has since become the company's Managing Director. Pentagon works with agricultural clients, as well as local companies and governmental organisations. Richard Collyer started as an independent consultant in 1991 with a six-and-a-half year break working for ADAS between 1996 and 2003 as Senior Consultant. Coming from a family farm provides him with a wealth of background in both agriculture and horticulture. He also spent 14 years with the Agricultural Training Board where he designed many training programmes and was involved in tutoring the many highly successful management and technical courses. Philip Ferguson has been a Chartered Surveyor working in the upland areas of Wales since 1987. His career began with the Welsh Office advising on grants before moving to ADAS and specialising in building design. He began to concentrate on farm pollution control and then set up his own business near Hay-on-Wye. Recently, he has been involved in an innovative project to restore some of the delicate breeding tributaries of the upper Wye. Philip has comprehensive experience of environmental issues, habitat management, manure management and pollution control. He also advises on planning applications, SAF registration, farm buildings, diversification, alternative use of land buildings, agri-environment schemes and Woodlands.
